2nd Community Penetration

The Christian life is multifaceted. At any given moment, I find there are several different things thrown at you at one time.

God is a God of miracles. The Lord often leads us step by step, involving us in the work of God in this world. Against the backdrop of the global world and our daily burdens and desperation, we should recognize, learn to live, and see the miracles of God.

Job is a man whose faith was in a God who is worthy to be feared (Job 1:1). The prose begins with a simple statement about a man in the land of Uz. The geographic location of this land is not certain. Some suggest it is near the ancient city of Damascus which borders the desert. It may be identified with Abraham’s nephew who was named Uz (Genesis 22:21).

In Babylon’s religious culture, statues were frequently worshiped as gods. Nebuchadnezzar hoped to use this huge image as part of his strategy to centralize worship in order to unite the nation and solidify his power. When he made the statue, he showed that his devotion to Daniel’s God was short-lived.

It was during this time that the prophet Isaiah received this vision. He was brought before the throne of God and what he experienced before the LORD was something that made him give everything to God, including his life.

Jesus walked the walk of freedom for us when he walked the road to Calvary. He denied his own will, only devoting himself to the will of the Father for us.
