2nd TKC Giftshop “School is Cool”

By: Windeline Arsenal

Children are precious in the eyes of God; they are blessings from above and the hope of the motherland. Like what the Lord says “Train up the child in the way they should go and they will not depart from it” if we want our children to grow up as a responsible individual we should start training them now. So as church we encourage them to enjoy school. Schools should not be dreaded in fact schooling is an opportunity that not everybody can avail.

This 26th of June the TKC department celebrates the opening of school with the 2nd gift shop entitled “School is cool”. With the aim of letting the children realize that we as the Sunday school teachers, headed by Sister Maricel, Pastor Rowena and Gideon Gailo support their dreams and passion towards school. The whole department prepared school supplies that will somehow be useful for them. We set up adorable kiosk that would attract children and even teach them how to make cute animals out of paper.

Despite the dark sky, the 310 children are really so eager to trade their collected points that even the rain couldn’t stop them. We are very thankful that the Lord withholds the rain for his precious children to enjoy. Praise God! The entire event lasted for almost an hour and for that short time we can really see how blessed and happy the children are. The time maybe short yet well spent and enjoyed.
The time, effort and service that the TKC teachers and helper are investing in this ministry are indeed worth it. All glory and honor belongs to the Lord!, but then this event will not be called a success if without the avid support of our beloved Senior Pastor Tohnee and Pastor Lily and of course to the almighty God.
May all these children be blessed and become a blessing!
