Goducate Leaders Retreat with Pas. Billy Tan

August 29, 2016
with Pastor Billy Tan

It’s our yearly leader’s retreat, and what’s the best way for a getaway, than a time of rest and relaxation .. and Pastor Billy Tan, of course!

Totally speaking from experience, and his walk with God. Here was one whose been there, and actually walks the talk. Suffice to say, Pas. Billy is a walking ‘Gospel’ of God’s grace, and a powerful testimony of God’s redemption. That… along with huge doses of humor!

WORD & PRAYER
With Nehemiah as his reference point, his simple sharing powerfully touched a chord among us. Truly, the foundation of our faith and leadership is in a covenant, with the word and prayer. One can never separate the two from our Christian walk, despite our many exploits for His kingdom. It is a life of obedience to this covenant, and communion with God that determines our character and heart.

R & R
Not only was it a time of being spiritually minded, but being mindful of fun, and more fun!

Interspersed within the day, were volleyball/basketball matches, which went on the whole afternoon, despite the reality of age and excess weight.

The spring jacuzzi was an instant hit among the gals, situated atop a hill, just lazing and enjoying these simple amenities.

Pas. Billy Tan did make one observation though … how a strong sense of family pervaded the atmosphere. And this is what church symbolizes after all, a unity fostered by friendship, camaraderie and brotherly love.
