Psalm 8 is a psalm or hymn of praise with wisdom connections. It is a poetic reflection of the great creation. Traditionally, the psalm is ascribed to David. It contains an INDIVIDUAL MEDITATION, “O LORD,” and it also embraces the COMMUNITY of God’s people, “our Lord.” However, the center of the psalm focuses on human beings, a rarity in Scripture with one of the best-known verses in all of the Bible: “What is man that You are mindful of him?”

Jesus our Savior, Redeemer, the Mighty One can turn the previous chapters of your life into a new chapter.

If you believe history, you must believe that our God is a God of judgment. In this age of unbelief there are many who do not want to believe that the God of heaven will administer justice in respect to sin.

Jesus says to us, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” Love of self is instinctive and involuntary.

Two men, Caleb and Joshua, brought the same facts as the others. What is the difference in their report? The difference is in their interpretation of the facts because Caleb and Joshua included God.
