A Taste of Classical Theatre

CIRCLE BEYOND FEAR

In an ode to Cain, e_tab theater proudly presented CIRCLE BEYOND FEAR by Darius Schwann last Sept 15, 2013. Under the direction of Miss Farida Kabayao, noted thespian herself, 2 weeks of preparation posed a challenge indeed. But with God’s immense grace, and dedication of the entire cast, who underwent rigorous training under their ate far
…proudly they presented a Greek Classical Theater Play that was a first…and definitely brought the house down!

THE WAY OF CAIN

This is the world then, this is the world.
Cain is the blind, rebellious, sinning world.

Wherever men organize their lives without God,There the world comes creeping in
And the spirit of Cain is born.

And life without God is flight
And loneliness
And brokenness
And a terrible sickness of the heart.
(excerpts from CIRCLE BEYOND FEAR)

…with that our very own Pas. Toh nee expounded on a life devoid of God.Similar to a hopeless, helpless cycle of damnation that never ends, that follows us to the grave and beyond…should we choose to walk this life apart from Him. It was indeed a time of soul searching…a time of when we came to terms with who were…the word being like a double edged sword piercing the many walls we have erected in our hearts…to shield us from the truth…that we like Cain are the blind, rebellious sinning word.

Allowing the word and the spirit to search our hearts…would lead us back to the essence of our being…God!

And much akin to a circle, as we surrender once more to His lordship…a new cycle begins.

on bended knee you shall bare your soul
allow Christ to make you whole
for freedom from fear comes with a price
and that is to acknowledge and walk with Christ

Man’s defiance blots the face of God
Yet man’s repentance and Christ’s blood
clears the slate that was once stained
The circle beyond fear removed by Christ’s outstretched hand.
