As is our yearly event, and April fast approaching Etab geared itself for another ‘ENCOUNTER’ with none other than Pas. James Singh at the helm. It was a highly anticipated event of sorts. All came with expectant hearts … and of course the Holy Spirit disappointed not …. again God met us at our point of need, pain, brokenness.
This time through Pas. James prophetic ministry the layers of our hearts were stripped off, through the word and by His Spirit. Exposing our most inner motivations, we saw ourselves as we really were, poor in Spirit … in need of HIM which truly is what matters most!
When we let down our guard of prayer, we become easy prey to life’s adversities. Judging from the life of Nehemiah, it is only when we repair the broken walls of prayer that our life can once more be attuned to God.
Spiritual Treasures are Priceless, it is often hidden in God’s Truths. Just like much of Jesus Christ’s parable when we delve into His presence and Word with opened eyes … it is when we discover God’s Kingdom in us, and we realize that He is our greatest treasure, in the same way that we are His.
Even in our fallen state, just like in the book of Hosea God desires for us to come into a life with him by alluring us to have a change of heart, a change of ways … and to renew our calling.
God is inviting one and all to a Wedding banquet, it is His desire that we be able to feast. Yet, the price for such invite would cost the life of His very Son. As such, we must come before Him in complete reverence and awe, having our garments washed … for such is the calling of God for each one who comes.
In our spiritual poverty, we discover the vast riches in Him. It is when we despise not the small things, when we live surrendered lives, when we see our own depravity, when we have a dependent spirit … that we receive the rewards of God’s Kingdom; Crown of Life, Robes, Thrones … and the honor to stand before the King of Kings.
It is only when we see ourselves, in all our human frailty and weakness … only then can He open our eyes to see who we are in Him. It is only He who can replace our weakness for His strength, our failures for His victory, our rebellion for His restoration!
Just as our salvation points to the redemptive work of Christ on the cross … coincidentally we celebrated Good Friday in the same way … full of hope, joy and faith!
