Staff Retreat: Malacca, Malaysia

Malacca, Malaysia
Hotel Equatorial
June 17 – 21, 2014

Never would we have expected in our wildest imagination, that such a time as this would come about. We were truly priveleged to have been extended this invitation to attend the LSBC Family Camp. When June finally arrived, it only started sinking in – THIS IS IT! We were packed and good to GO!

But, much more than the sights and sound of Singapore and Malaysia, we were welcomed into the warmth and love which is truly intrinsic to LSBC. And what other way to express this kinship, but through FOOD…of course, we had no complaints…except for the few unwanted pounds here and there…it was definitely SHIOK! We’d be wise to remember Pas. Dong’s advise…when in Singapore…bring an extra stomach!

Fill, Refill, Overflow
Not only were we refreshed physically, but as a whole charged up mentally and spiritually! The camaraderie, as well as tons of laughter among us…transcending our vast differences…and seeing each other through God’s eyes…that we were brethren above all, linked through a spiritual connection in Christ. The word, once again ushered us into the upper room, that fiery pentecostal experience…was rekindled among us…thus refilled, we overflowed with the Spirit!

In essence, it was an overflowing love that infused our spirit’s, not only through the services (kudos to Pas. Mike Conell for that), but through the lives of many brethren who exemplified love in action…their sincerity, genuine love and infectious faith were the fruit of the Spirit come alive, in each one of them…literally God’s love letter to us, written in hearts of men!

Much Thanks…
To Pas. Lawrence & Cindy Chua, & our LSBC family…warm hugs and greetings from Iloilo…may God continue to bless you tremendously…to be a blessing to others!

The Way Up Is Down

Humility is seen, lived, and perfected in Christ. Humility begins with Christ, not us. Humility is not a human virtue we perfect; it is a Christ revealed reality we can receive.

The Unfaithful Lover

Jesus came for two purposes: To represent the Faithful God, the God whose face was smitten because of another god and to present us to the Father as the redeemed unfaithful lovers.
