LSBC Youth Testimony

“Surrender’; A word that constantly resounded throughout the trip. The LSBC youth team had the opportunity to experience first hand what true surrender to God is like.

We started our journey at Living Sanctuary Kalibo where we had a youth encounter camp for the youth that came from both Kalibo and Roxas. There was a great time of ministry during the clinic sessions and on the last session, there was also a powerful move and visitation of the Holy Spirit which we believed has sparked something powerful in the church as the whole new atmosphere in the church.

Our team’s next destination was Living Sanctuary Barbaza. At Barbaza, we had chance to minister to the people there including many of their boat recipients who were pre-believers. We thank God that for the many salvations we had that night!

After Barbaza, our team split ourselves into two smaller teams. Team Iloilo who ministered at Eden Grace at Iloilo and Team Miagao who went Miagao to minister to the people there.

For Team Iloilo, we conducted a Children’s encounter camp for the kids there. The camp was filled with both fun and laughter and many of the kids really enjoyed themselves. But most importantly, many of the kids encountered God in their own way.

For Team Miagao, we held a crusade service and we thank God that the whole village turned to God that day. We also held a healing service where we managed to see God’s power move through healing.

Honestly words alone will not be able to describe our experience on this trip and we are humbled at how a perfect God can use imperfect people like us to accomplish his perfect purpose.

Thinking back on the trip, I remembered how the team would just gather moments before every session just to pray in the spirit. God has really shown us the power of a praying people and how essential prayer is if we want to be effective minister for God, just as A. W Tozer puts it “everything by prayer”

God has really showed us the power of a surrendered heart. It is only when we live a life where we have nothing to lose, nothing to gain and nothing to hide, only then can God use us wholly.

“You will never know Jesus is all you need until Jesus is all you have” We have finally understood firsthand what this means.
