May Harvest Month – 4th Sunday “I Am Able”

By: Ann Marie Servito / 27 May 2018

Our God creates galaxies from nothingness in one command. He calms the stirring storm when we’re most afraid and He conquers death and bring us deliverance. He is able to turn things around when everything feels impossible!

Last Sunday, ETab anchored the annual Harvest Month with the theme “I AM Able”, showcasing the new rising talents of the chruch from the Youth Central.

The presentation began with the entrance of the array of youth in black and red, a youth choir trained by Sis. Gladys Barcelona Mallari. In unison, they sang of how God is able to give us strength to rise above all trials. This was followed by a second batch of fresh faces who performed a contemporary dance “Me Without You”, a newer dance genres the youth has explored.

Among us was also the Healing Room team from LSBC and Bro. David Chan who shared the much awaited Word which carried the theme I AM Able.

The key text came from Ephesians 1:15-22 NKJV:
15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your [a]understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what isthe exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality[b] and [c]power and [d]might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all thingsto the church,

According to the Word, ther are 4 reasons why we can poclaim that Our God is Able. First, He gave us hope of his calling. Jesus has come so we may have life and through him God is able to bring us back to Him as His children.

Second, Jesus imparted to us the richness of His inheritance as in 2 Corinthians 5:17. He doesn’t only save us but He changes our nature through the Word.

Third, there is a great power for those who believe! We sit next to Jesus in heaven like a royalty despite our impurity and we become co-heirs with Christ! Jesus also came back to life so we may have victory.

Lastly, all things are under the feet of Jesus as in 1:22-23. The church is Christ’s body so it also means everything is under the feet of the church. As long as we have Jesus, we are beyond principalities, powers, and dominions.

The power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to us! We can have abundant life through Him and only He can transform us to a new creation. On account of all these we as believers are therefore able to do things above and beyond what we can imagine. We are able to do things above and beyond what we can imagine. We are able because Jesus is able!

Missing Link

Luke 15: 8-9
“Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, because I have found the coin which I had lost!’

God Of A Million Dreams

Sometimes we allow pride to creep in as we slowly reach our dreams. So God steps in by allowing circumstances and pain to humble us, not humiliate us.

Righteous On The Day Of The Lord

This message is mainly for all believers who are preparing for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Since we believe that Jesus is coming back soon, we should not only be excited to meet him in the air but we must also be occupied with a life and works of righteousness.

Faithful In Captivity

Daniel 1
A more particular account of the beginning of Daniel’s life, his origin and education, than we have of any other of the prophets. Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, began immediately with divine visions, but Daniel began with the study of human learning, and was afterwards honored with divine visions. We have here:
