It was a first for E_tab when the WOW and MOF collaborated for a medical mission; consisting of free medical consultation and medications through the assistance of Cary & Ruby Barcelona – plus free bone screening to top that c/o the makers of Caltrate Plus (muchas gracias!)
Many among our indigent members and seniors were top priority of the day of course…quite a few of who had symptoms of hypertensive issues upon check up… but thanks to our med reps we had a stock full of anti hypertensive meds on hand… as well as various prohibitions; low salt, low sugar, less caffeine…but as the saying goes, the spirit may be willing but the flesh is weak… ladies watch it!
The free bone scanning elicited much interest though. Some among those in their twenties had osteopathic findings which weren’t positive considering their age, while some middle agers displayed bone properties similar to that of a twenty year old, to our amazement.
Overall, hats off to Eden Montano & team for a job well done!
