Miagao Medical Mission

Miagao Tig-amaga with Dr. Benny Lim of Singapore
Dr. Edie Chua, Dr. Zeferino Arroyo & Dr. Arsenia Mondala

‘Love can conquer mountains…’

Truly distance nor rough terrain can quench commitment and service. And in like fashion, us trekkers’ once more returned to conquer the heart of Miagao, Tig-amaga.

As such, the ground of their hearts were subtly being prepared by God … for a harvest! Despite the localities atmosphere of ‘fiesta,’ they came from nearby villages after a 3 to 4 hour trek, not only to receive physical … but spiritual assistance as well (Dr. Edie Chua definitely saw to that!).

They not only received Medical assistance, but a prayer and a blessing. All these through the financial and medical expertise of Dr. Benny Lim from Singapore, not to mention the comeback of the trio: Dr. Edie Chua, Dr. Zeferino Arroyo and Dr. Arsenia Mondala, who has always placed service to God above their personal practice, which is really worth emulating. Hats off to the group, who despite a near heatwave, being the month of April, displayed God’s love in full display, their smiles and warmth never wavered through the entire two days!

It was E_tab’s first foray in ‘Essential Commission,’ and a blast so to speak. It was their turn to experience the dust, heat, trek … but thankfully this time, a way was paved thru ‘divine circumstances’ when the area was bulldozed just in time for our Medical Missions … God never fails to surprise us indeed. What was once a 3 hour journey dwindled to a 30 minute walk, which was a breeze, for the supposedly experienced’ ones. AHEM!

What we brought back with us, was a desire to do more’ a motivation to be God’s hands and feet … and the mountains’ produce c/o Sis. Paz & Bro. Rene Minguez, mouth watering bananas, papayas and peanuts freshly plucked from the surroundings (an added bonus!!) Their hospitality and food simply tremendous, it gave us the energy needed to make the trek back, burning all those calories!

Overall, we would like to give Glory to God … and how HE brings us together for times like these, diverse backgrouonds, different denominations … still one in bringing across the love of God … and no mountain can stop us!

The God Who Sees The Man

It contains an INDIVIDUAL MEDITATION, “O LORD,” and it also embraces the COMMUNITY of God’s people, “our Lord.” However, the center of the psalm focuses on human beings, a rarity in Scripture with one of the best-known verses in all of the Bible: “What is man that You are mindful of him?”

God’s Judgments on Sin Are Certain

If you believe history, you must believe that our God is a God of judgment. In this age of unbelief there are many who do not want to believe that the God of heaven will administer justice in respect to sin.
