Revolve Friday

Revolve Friday
March 9, 2012

It was a first for HOF last Mar. 9 with the first ever Revolve’ Friday conducted by the five regions in different barangays. The HOF definitely brought the love of God through the various acts of kindness and compassion – tantamount to the agape love that the Bible constantly mentions. But at the end of the day it was still we’ who were blessed – and revived to do more for others, in the same way that Jesus did!

For this first undertaking the five regions gathered resources and manpower – to be the agents of change God is calling us to be. So with a smile, and with loads of love and compassion we were able to touch lives, by the grace of God with a simple gesture of free clothing and utensils for a barangay razed down by fire, followed by a hotdog party (region a) – one good meal along with medical mission (region b) – the giving of free rice and kiddie goods (region c) – having a mini-party in the barangay with free give away of food and fruits (region d) – giving a happy and sumptuos meal (region e).

Either way, it was such a blessing to see every region come together as a unit to be a blessing to someone even for a day. The smiles, hugs and even kisses – were enough a gesture of gratitude for us, whose hearts were definitely warmed by this simple way of reciprocation. It was a privelege to have walked the same steps of selflessness that our Lord Jesus Christ did. Suffice to say, it was all worth it!

Above all we thank the large pool of young people (and young at hearts) who gave of their time, talent and resources for this first community outreach under the HOF. A total of 1,330 recipients of your goodwill and compassion were undeniably blessed that day!

Be a part of our next Revolve Friday… 🙂
