Thanksgiving Service of the Borres Youth Institute at Etab

Oct. 30 2016
8:30 am @ Etab

For the first time Etab held a Thanksgiving Service for The 4th Borres Youth Institute international Social Science Camp. The sole purpose of which is to develop youth leadership skills among our youth. It had been the brainchild of Atty. Mark Borres, and after a successful week long camp, over 300 youth delegates from different parts of the country congregated at Etab for a Thanksgiving Service.

As such, Programs were lined up, with Atty. Mark Borres requesting a re-play of our “LIFE” Series, centering on the futility of life without God, and focusing on Jesus as the center of our existence and purpose. On the violin, the Kabayao family gave a classical rendition of Christian hymns. And to cap the entire event Pas. Lily Lim, exhorted all with a faith building sermon on “Don’t Limit God,” with a majority responding at the end of the service. Much as it was a simple Thanksgiving Service, the presence of the Holy Spirit was genuinely felt.

And we give glory to God for orchestrating this collaboration. It is seldom that we can reach out to the intellectuals, a marginalized group harder to penetrate than most. In this we see, God opening the way for Etab to reach out to a vast majority, irregardless of social standing and rank! Amen!
