“Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of
their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Genesis 49 and Deuteronomy 33 are a powerful comparison because both chapters contain prophetic blessings and warnings over the tribes of Israel, from two different leaders at two different moments in history.

Jesus’ death on the cross was the remittance of sin and death. His resurrection is the receipt. On that Good Friday, He paid for our Sin, He was the victim, but on that Resurrection Sunday, He was the Victor. On Good Friday, He is the Lamb, but on Resurrection Sunday, He is the Lord.
